How to engage your FANS

 Here are a few tips on how to engage your fans i.e building a fan- music artistesrelationship with them. 

1.      FAN Reach

Reach out to your fans. 

1.  Post something interesting to your social media profiles : Share a funny story
2. Invite everyone out to a venue or hangout. For example you can invite them to where you'll be on a 'Friday' night for a hang
3. Reply to an email or inbox message from a fan

4. Say ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’! 

5. Sales:

o    Ask your fans what they want to buy- what they might like from you -and how much they will pay

o    Tell your contact list (mailing list, BB list, facebook friends, tweeps) that you are available to play private events and parties or weddings or BBQs

o    Sell CDs and MP3s

o    Promote and sell assorted merchandise

o    Fan club

2.       Give Fan Incentives: Throughout each year send thoughtful gifts that fans/customers will look forward to receiving.

o   A raffle for a free t-shirt

o   A live download of your new song

o   An invite to a sound check

o   Dinner with you the next time you are in town- one fan at a time.

o   In house concerts

o   In festive periods, send a list of fun free outdoor concerts and activities around your state.

o   At Christmas, send to key clients send a special CD with your name printed on the cover

3.       FAN Survey

There is no point guessing or speculating. Find out about whatever you need to know to move your career forward from your fans themselves and you would save yourself the trouble of trying what you think might work or might not.

More so, use the name of a fan in a post and say thank you. Just three words- “Thank You Uche!” Three little words will go a long way.
